Tweed Wreath

Today I had a go at a bit of Up-Cycling, and turned this...

Into this...

Using an old wreath from my friend's parents' house that was going in the bin, and a skirt which cost me £1 from a local unclaimed lost property shop, plus a few bits and bobs from my craft boxes...

(I realise it's still August... but less than 4 months to go!)

A little bit more bunting...

The youngest of my sort-of-nieces will have her first Birthday in September, so I've made her some bunting to match with her big sisters. They've all just moved house, and Grace now has her own room so hopefully there'll be somewhere to put it up.

Some more cupcakes...

These were for another friend I worked with, who has also just left work, so I made these for her leaving do.

Cupcake Bouquet

A friend who I've worked with in my last job had tried my cupcakes at various staff dos and Birthdays, and asked me if I could make some for her daughters 18th Birthday. I thought this called for something a bit more exciting, so I had a go at making a bouquet of cupcakes.

She's told me that I've got 3 years to start planning her 21st Birthday cupcakes, so I guess that means they went down well.

Personalised Bunting

Personalised bunting for my sort-of-nieces

Megan

This one isn't very clear - but it says Sophie on there somewhere...

A few more Christmas decortations

I like making all sorts, but Christmas things feature fairly high on the list!

Mini applique stocking
 Fimo decoration
The classic - painted and glittered pine cone!
Fimo mouse in a walnut shell

The Foodfest!

Over the Jubilee weekend we had a "Foodfest" basically a bit of a party, with lots of homemade/unusual food.

One of the tables all set up
Some slightly more  unusual baking - courgette cupcakes, and chocolate and beetroot brownies (which both actually taste quite nice!)

 Meat Loaf and Fish Stew
 A selection of homemade breads

Picnic party bunting - and my rather nice antique Pfaff!

Some food quotes - stamped into wood using my metal letter stampers from Chelsea, then painted and sanded
And labels for all the food using the stamps

Peg Board

Chelsea's Birthday present

Bag Charms

My first attempt at needle felting, and making felted beads.

Then Chelsea requested a bag charm for her Birthday, so I dug out the Fimo, and ended up with this
